Prepared by the Dominican Proactivitis team. Practical planning and conditions for our services.
Start with where you are staying
Saona is an island excursion, so the day includes a boat journey. Our classic Punta Cana trip first travels to Bayahibe. Guests already staying in Bayahibe can compare a local departure rather than purchasing the Punta Cana road-transfer option. Santo Domingo has its own departure arrangements; hotel pickup should be checked for the selected product.
Shared excursion or whole boat?
A shared trip is generally priced per adult, with a separate child rate where listed. A private boat is reserved for your group. Compare the total and passenger limit rather than dividing a headline boat price by a hypothetical number of guests.
The Coral Majesty, Ocean Pearl and Caribbean Legend yacht options have a maximum of 10 guests each; Saona Grand accommodates up to 20. Children count towards capacity. A smaller group still pays the listed whole-boat rate. Their round-trip ground transfer is included from Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, Bayahibe or La Romana; the exact hotel and pickup plan are confirmed before payment.
Read the itinerary and the inclusions together
Our regular Punta Cana itinerary combines catamaran sailing, a speedboat leg, the Natural Pool and beach time. The Saona VIP Mano Juan experience is a different shared speedboat product with additional beach and village stops. A conservation visit depends on the local sanctuary’s availability; turtle sightings are not guaranteed.
Lunch, drinks, snorkeling equipment and ground transport vary by option. Read both the included and excluded lists. Optional lobster, photographs, gratuities and personal purchases are not automatically covered by a premium boat price. Sea conditions may change the order or availability of stops.
How payment works
Select travelers and the experience option to see the quote. Review your selected service and pay directly through Stripe; confirmed pickup instructions follow one day before your service. Where a deposit applies, the booking page shows the amount due now and the remaining balance. A request alone is not a confirmed departure.
Pack for a day on the water
- Swimwear, towel and comfortable clothing.
- Sun protection and a protected place for your phone.
- Your booking reference and confirmed meeting instructions.
- Any child ages, mobility concerns or dietary requests shared before payment.
Follow the crew’s safety instructions. Observe marine life without touching it or removing it from the water. If you are comparing cancellation policies, use the conditions of the chosen tour rather than assuming every Saona product has the same terms.
